As I Am is the creation of Dr. Ali N. Syed, a chemist, and entrepreneur. He began working in Chicago cleaning and washing large productions kettles on a daily basis. In the mid-2000’s he began formulating and developing products to suit women with naturally and coily and curly hair textures birthing this wonderful brand.
